WordPress and Real Estate are a Match Made in Marketing Heaven

If you think that WordPress is just for blogging, think again.

WordPress is quickly becoming the industry standard for creating easy-to-manage websites that support online business. WordPress is a versatile platform, it’s free of charge, and new updates and tools are constantly being developed by WordPress experts from around the world.

There is a growing community of Estate Agents and Realtors that are beginning to use WordPress to power their sites. Some early players, such as R&W Mosman and Neutral Bay Real Estate and WannaNetwork.com, even made their way and got featured in the official WordPress Showcase site. Here at WebNet, we were able to turn WordPress into a real estate Content Management System and property listing application.

But, the proportion of Brokers, Agents, and Realtors using WordPress to build online entities at the company level is still not far above the ground. Now, I’m going to try to convert the rest by illustrating the reasons why all estate agents and realtors should scrape their current site and change into something WordPress based.

1. Save Money on Hosting

Some real estate brokers are being charged $300 a month to have their sites hosted. WordPress hosting will only cost you $9/month for a professional plan! No need to pay for setup fee because installing WordPress is very easy that even a complete web newbie can do it.

2. No More Maintenance Fee

With other platform, fixes and repairs can be expensive and require a lot of time. WordPress is super easy to use, meaning you don’t have to know anything about programming, coding, HTML, or really anything other than how to type on your keyboard and use your mouse to create content and put it online.

WordPress is the easiest platform to publish content with. Even if you are brand new to the web, a WordPress website can make you feel like a pro due to its user-friendly interface.

3. Pay Less for First-rate Features and Design

There are tons of WordPress themes available. What is a theme? A theme is a website design complete with its features. With WordPress, there are thousands of free and slightly paid (up to like $90 and less) high quality, professionally designed themes for your real estate websites.

4. WordPress Plugins

These are the actual tools of your website. There are loads of excellent plugins – small pieces of software – that will greatly improve your site optimization. There is a WordPress plugin for just about anything a Real Estate Professional will ever need: Social Media, SEO, Google XML Site Maps, Commenting System, Keyword Statistics, Gravity Forms, SexyBookmarks, IDX, and so much more. Most WordPress plugins are free that are given out from the WordPress community.

You can browse the thousands of WordPress plugins here.

5. SEO Friendly

WordPress is already SEO friendly “out of the box”. WordPress has transformed itself into dramatically and it is now probably the best SEO friendly platform that you can have. Much more so than any traditional static website. Pages are indexable, it’s easy to add keywords and tags, and it can even notify search engines when your site content changes.

And if you always have fresh content, which you can do easily with WordPress, search engines will love you more.

Have I Convinced you Enough to Switch to WordPress?

So Why WordPress?

It saves you on the money. It saves you on time. And most importantly, you are in control of everything about your business. So if you want to start a real estate website and you are not using WordPress, you are crazy! There is no reason why you should not use WordPress. It is the best and it will continue to be the best.
